It seems there are tragic news stories each day in the US where opioid addiction has claimed more lives. We know that overdoses from prescription opioids are a driving factor in the over 15-year increase in opioid overdose deaths.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, deaths from prescription opioids like oxycodone and hydrocodone have more than quadrupled since 1999.

For help in dealing with substance abuse issues, Pearson offers access to the Employee Assistance Program. You and your family members who live with you can take advantage of unlimited phone counseling and up to 5 face-to-face counseling sessions per issue per year.
