Beginning January 1, 2017 Pearson’s prescription drug administrator will be CVS Caremark™, with no change in current copay amounts. All enrolled members will receive a new ID card and a welcome letter from CVS/caremark™ containing details about your new prescription coverage.
Use a CVS Caremark pharmacy when filling short- or long-term prescriptions. The retail network includes more than 67,000 pharmacies nationwide, including chain pharmacies, 20,000 independent pharmacies and 7,400 CVS/Target pharmacy stores. Mail service is a cost-effective choice for long-term medications because you can get up to a 90-day supply for less than what you would pay for the same supply at retail.
Requires that members who reside within 5 miles of a CVS/Target pharmacy and are taking maintenance drugs such as blood pressure or diabetes medicines must obtain their medications through mail service or at a CVS/Target pharmacy store.
